Most often this means that Takedown can not find the video on the iPad or on YouTube though the specific nature of the error is not provided by YouTube to Takedown. Typically, the video has been deleted from the iPad and from YouTube. See below to verify if the video is on YouTUbe.
Verify the Video is Available on YouTube
Method #1: find it on YouTube first, verify correct ID in Takedown
- In a web browser
- Find the video on YouTube
- Get the video ID from YouTube. The video ID is the last portion of the URL. For example, the video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aN46pEO_jX8 has the id aN46pEO_jX8.
- In Takedown, tap Event
- Tap Matches
- Tap the match that has the video error
- Tap Edit on the right panel to reveal the YouTube ID stored in Takedown
- If the ID is incorrect, then enter the correct YouTube ID
Method #2: find the YouTube ID in Takedown, verify video exists on YouTube
- In Takedown, tap Event
- Tap Matches
- Tap the match that has the video error
- Tap Edit on the right panel to reveal the YouTube ID stored in Takedown
- Copy the YouTube video ID
- Paste the video ID to this URL segment: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=<replace this with YouTube ID>. For example, if the YouTube video ID in Takedown is aN46pEO_jX8, then the URL will be http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aN46pEO_jX8 (without the bold treatment).
- Copy the entire URL and paste it into your browser and hit Enter.
- If the video doesn't play, then the video might not exist on YouTube
