Posting Results to X( formerly Twitter)

This process must be completed on each iPad from which you want to post results to X.

Authorize Takedown to Post to X

Authorizing Takedown to Post to X is required and persistent.

1. Verify your Internet connection is active
2. In Takedown, tap Settings
3. Tap X (formerly Twitter)
4. Tap "Authorize Takedown to post to X"
5. Sign in to X if prompted
6. Tap "Authorize app"

Enable X in Takedown

1. Verify your Internet connection is active
2. In Takedown, go to Settings
3. Tap X (formerly Twitter)
4. Next to "Post Scoring to X", slide the button to the right
5. Optional
   
   • Change value for "When to Post"
     • End of Period -- posts score and choice at the beginning of each period
     • End of Match -- posts final match score
   • Turn on or off "Post Win/Loss During Tournament"
     • When turned on, will occasionally post team's win/loss record in the tournament
   • Add value for "Text to Append to Posts"
     • Whatever text is added will be appended to every post.
     • Use cases:
       
       • Hashtag: #gobucs", "#neverquit"
       • Handle:  '@pa_wrestling'
       • Emojis: 🤼👍
       • Any text: "Live from Central HS!"
     • Combinations: "#gobucs #neverquit @pa_wrestling @wpialwrestlingresults 🤼👍"
   • Limitations: if the "Text to Append to Posts" is long, it might cause the entire post to exceed Twitter's character limit. In this case, the appended text is truncated.
