For Takedown's video recording feature to work properly, you must give Takedown access to three items on your iPad:
- Camera -- for recording video
- Microphone -- for recording audio
- Photos app -- for storing recorded video on-device
When you first use the video recording feature, three alerts will appear in order asking for permission to use these items. You should grant permission if you'd like video recording to work properly. The alerts look like this:
Tap 'OK' to grant Camera access
Tap 'OK' to grant Microphone access
Tap "Allow Access to All Photos"
Granting Microphone access is optional; granting Camera and Photos access is required. Of course, if you don't grant Microphone access then the video recordings won't have a soundtrack.
You can always confirm that you've granted access to these three items by going to iPad Settings and scrolling down to Takedown. These settings should look like this:
